When the iconic Brady Bunch house listed last month, it caught the eye of fans and real estate lovers everywhere. *NSYNC member Lance Bass was so taken by it that he made an offer on the Studio City ranch for “way over the asking price,” which is $1.885 million. The race to own the piece of TV history was on, and other celebrities like Property Brothers star Jonathon Silver Scott were making tough bids as well. On Friday, the singer was elated to announce on Twitter that he made the winning offer, but soon after everything changed.
Super excited to announce they accepted my offer on the #BradyBunch house last night!!! This is going to be a fun project!

According to a lengthy and sincere Instagram post, Bass claims that a day later after the deadline for all offers had passed, the same agent who had brought him immense joy by telling him his offer was accepted reached out to inform him that a corporate buyer wanted the house at any cost. Although Bass tried to compete, there was no price the company, which his post calls a “Hollywood studio,” could not match.
Ultimately, Bass’ dreams were dashed and he was left feeling like a pawn in a game of real estate chess. One of his final statements reads, “I feel used but most importantly I’m hurt and saddened by this highly questionable outcome. I just hope it is not demolished.” A hope many share, no doubt.
Ernie Carswell and Spencer Daley of Douglas Elliman have the listing, which is still shown as active as of now.
