Keith Richards Relists His Rockin’ Greenwich Village Duplex (Again) for $12M

Rock n’ roll icon Keith Richards and wife Patti Hansen can’t seem to rid themselves of the Greenwich Village apartment they purchased in 2014. Originally listed in March 2016, the apartment in a historic Art-Deco building has yet to take an offer.

After sitting on the market for over a year and relisting the property this past April for $12.23M, the apartment was taken off the market in early September. Now, the unit has been relisted again with a price cut, a broker change, and high hopes.

The listing is now accompanied by a celebrity brokerage team, according to the New York Post. Douglas Elliman’s Fredrik Eklund of Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing, John Gomes, and Adam Widener are representing the rock legend’s 1 Fifth Avenue, which has been listed at $11.995 million.

The apartment was renovated and expanded in 2011 by architect Joe Serrins, resulting in a three-bedroom, four-bathroom spread with three terraces to boot. An open floor plan and plenty of windows throughout the two floors create a bright and fresh environment.

The entire unit is furnished with Lutron lighting and automatic blinds, as well as a fully integrated Sonos sound system—a must for the renowned Rolling Stones musician. Contemporary furnishings reflect the rocker’s eclectic taste and pieces like a gold, hand-shaped chair remind potential buyer’s of the famous personality that lives there.
