The airy stair hall features a massive 19th-century English grandfather clock and a period-inspired table by Thomas W. Newman.
Baratta designed the upholstered furniture in the living room, including the Lee Jofa custom fabrics, as well as the Asian-influenced basket-knot rug. An antique Moorish-style mirror hangs above one of the room’s two Georgian Baltic pine mantels; the sconces are from Jalan Jalan. The blue paneling is painted in Benjamin Moore’s Rhine River.
The walls in the entry gallery are covered in Ralph Lauren’s Stonewashed Linen in Sand. Custom garden benches have seat cushions covered in Lee Jofa’s Farrington in Ivory/Aqua.
The dining room features oversize chairs covered in a Holland & Sherry fabric and equally generous pewter chandeliers from Price Glover. The area rug, a Portuguese hand-stitched needlepoint, is custom; the niche is clad in Delft tiles from Solar Antique Tiles.
The white-on-white kitchen features an assemblage of wheel-back Windsor chairs from Mahla & Co. Antiques and a Shaker-inspired custom table; the rug, which takes its cue from American quilting, is also custom. Antique light fixtures from Ann-Morris are painted in Benjamin Moore’s Cloud Cover and Blue Hydrangea.
Baratta designed the armchairs in the breakfast room, where they flank an antique willow-twig table; a collection of Oud Delft jars from Vintage Views is showcased in front of a window.
A folk-art eagle keeps watch in a small library on the second floor. The Regency mahogany drum table is from Antiquario; benches are custom designed by Baratta. The ceiling is painted in Benjamin Moore’s Annapolis Green.
In the master bedroom, a painting by Alice Dalton Brown hangs above a custom bed in bleached mahogany with a rubbed satin finish. The carved Gustavian bench is from Lars Bolander; its cushion is covered in Peter Dunham’s Rajmata in Indigo from John Rosselli.
A guest bathroom features a custom vanity and medicine cabinets with cherry-wood detailing.
The master bath has marble floors and a custom tiger-maple vanity inspired by an old pharmacy cabinet.
Polished nickel fixtures are from Lee’s Studio ; the room’s freestanding footed tub is from Sunrise Specialty.
A pair of Gustavian bureaus from Lars Bolander and a custom woven rush bed furnish one of the guest rooms.
A twin-bedded guest room includes a sun-filled sitting area furnished with an armchair and ottoman covered in a Kravet fabric.
The porch off the living room has limestone flooring and a rattan sofa and armchairs from Bielecky Brothers. The wrought-iron side tables with limestone tops are from TK Collections; the circular ceiling fixtures are from Urban Archaeology.
