A Collection of Festive Floral Designs
As temperatures drop and spirits rise, floral designer Cyrus Paktinat takes trimmings to a new level by gathering exotic elements and pairing them with nature’s bounty. When decorating for the holidays, it’s tempting to go all out with glitter and shine. But natural elements can be just as glam and twice as chic. Trading shiny balls for pomegranates, and swapping traditional poinsettias for seasonal roses, Paktinat shows us that with some wire and a little imagination, greens, berries, branches and pinecones add fabulous touches to any room. And for a stroke of magnificence from the West Coast and abroad, Paktinat, owner of The Flowerfall in Westport, regularly visits the New York City flower market to pick up a variety of materials from California, Oregon, South Africa, Holland and other locales.
