Van der Vlugt’s production company, Caramel Pictures, is based out of Miami and Amsterdam and is responsible for popular commercials for brands like Lindt, McDonald’s, Hyundai, and Ford. The media mogul’s Miami home is a design masterpiece that he commissioned after purchasing the waterfront property for $4 million in 2011 and demolishing the old house that stood there.Drawn to Miami-based architect Kobi Karp’s work, the accomplished film director found him to be a natural choice for the job. Van der Vlugt told Mansion Global, “I saw a house Mr. Karp designed in South Beach, I really like his timeless simplicity style and seamless blending of indoor and outdoor living.”The finished manse is like a piece of art. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls offer panoramic ocean views and allow light to pour in wherever you are. The master suite boasts dual walk-in closets, an oversized bathroom complete with an aroma steam shower, and a private terrace. The five-bedroom home also boasts two pools: a plunge pool on the roof deck and a larger pool next to the ocean.Whoever snaps up the posh pad will be tucked behind gates in the exclusive Entrada Estates community. Jorge Uribe of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty has the luxury listing.Photographs Courtesy of Sotheby's International RealityA 14,000-square-foot, modern stunner owned by Dutch photographer and film director William van der Vlugt hit the market last week asking $22 million.
