A Gracious Estate Lists for $1.8M in Sharon, CT

There’s a reason why the newly offered $20-million-dollar property in Sharon looks as artfully landscaped as museum grounds: It’s owned by philanthropist and art collector Melva Bucksbaum, who had a 14,000-square-foot gallery built in 2009.
Called the Granary, the building was designed by architect Steven Learner with four distinct gallery spaces, two art storage vaults and a glass elevator. The owner also restored the 51-acre property’s original dwelling, a circa-1840 main house that now boasts a pool, terrace and pool house. And elsewhere on the property, there are three separate guesthouses and a caretaker’s cottage. It’s listed with Graham Klemm of Klemm Real Estate.
