Actress Jaime King Lists the Beverly Hills House Walt Disney Built for His Daughter
Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo, a midcentury modern Walt Disney built could soon belong to you. Half a century ago in 1960, the animation pioneer created this approximately 2,600-square-foot L.A. residence for his daughter. Today, it’s owned by model and actress Jaime King, known for her roles in Pearl Harbor and Hart of Dixie as well as for appearing in many music videos. With a hot pink door you can’t miss, it’s up for sale seeking $2.795 million.
According to Dirt.com, King has long held the 90210 property, dropping $1 million on it in 2003. And, why wouldn’t one hang onto this pad for almost 20 years? It’s a unique hideaway offering one-of-a-kind architecture and history in the coveted Beverly Hills Post Office neighborhood.
Frosted windows on the facade preserve privacy from the street, but inside it’s welcoming and bright. This first level holds one of the four bedrooms, making it a prime area to place guests. Ascending the stairs, the top level is the heart of the home. Here, floor-to-ceiling walls of glass look out to the bamboo-filled backyard with a cozy fire pit. With white walls and clean lines, the open interiors present a great backdrop for eclectic and artful decor. The kitchen is a work of art in itself, recently updated and designed by Gabrielle Santiago along with Simple Shui(Feng Shui).
Enjoying the rooms, it’s all made that much more special thinking of a father building this for his daughter, and that father being Walt Disney of all people. Preston Gazowsky and Branden Williams of The Beverly Hills Estates hold the darling listing.
