The International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF), the leading platform for contemporary furnishing design in North America, is returning to New York City. The show will run from Sunday, May 19 through Tuesday, May 21 at the Javits Center. NYC&G is a proud media sponsor of the event. Complimentary passes to the trade are available here with the code DAPMNYCG.
NYC&G: How many exhibitors will there be at ICFF this year and how many countries do they represent?
ICFF: Over the three days of the fair, designers, architects, interior designers, curators, buyers, and developers will gather and explore the latest products from more than 450 exhibitors, representing 35 countries worldwide.
NYC&G: ICFF is celebrating its 35th year. What will make this year stand out?
ICFF: In 2024, the ICFF will celebrate its 35th anniversary and unveil an even bolder approach to supporting design companies and their success throughout the year. The ICFF team is reshaping the core of its brand to remain the leading contemporary design fair in North America through:
- Solidifying ICFF’s role as a business accelerator and the entry point into the U.S. market for international brands.
- Clarifying its objective to be at the center of culture, community, and commerce and to be relevant and appealing to the next generation of designers and consumers.
- Amplifying design companies and content year-round to support the design industry beyond the fair.

NYC&G: What is Launch Pad?
ICFF: This international platform for emerging designers introduces new concepts and showcases furniture, home accessories, and lighting prototypes. This year ICFF will show 66 participants, including the two Best of Launch Pad winners from 2023: Gus by Good Growing/Tori Deetz and Studio Waah/Shaunak Patel. This year Launch Pad will feature studios from 17 countries.
NYC&G: Are there any Launch Pad success stories?
ICFF: One major success story was found at Heller, when John Edelman, president and CEO of Heller, spotted the Swell Wall Catchall. Anna Dawson was a Launch Pad participant while still a graduate student at the Rhode Island School of Design, and now her product is manufactured by Heller and can be found at the MoMA Design Store.
NYC&G: What are you most excited about this year?
ICFF: We are excited to launch a new program “Bespoke: The Art of Making,” dedicated to high-end craftsmanship which is something we felt has been missing and fills a real need. We are also thrilled to work on the second edition of The Crossroads, designed in collaboration with Rockwell Group and spotlighting American design with a focus on sustainability.
