Many celebrities have found peaceful getaways just outside of chaotic Manhattan, with Scarlett Johansson recently buying a house in Nyack. The coastal town of Westport, Connecticut seems to be a particular favorite for A-listers, however. Last year, Anne Hathaway and her husband, Adam Shulman, picked up a charming Colonial in the Compo Beach area for $2.79 million. They have now parted ways with it, according to Variety.
The quintessential New England abode was sold off-market at a slight loss for around $2.7 million, but in Connecticut’s struggling real estate market, that could still be considered a victory.
New owners will delight in the home’s proximity to the beach, spacious floor plan, and enchanting interiors. With a total of 4,600-square-feet, 5 bedrooms, and 5.5 bathrooms, there is plenty of room for hosting guests for the holidays.
