On June 19, media sponsor HC&G and the Madoo Conservancy held a preview cocktail party at the fifth annual Much Ado About Madoo garden market and fair. Guests mingled while shopping in dozens of vendor booths and taking in an exhibition of the late Robert Dash’s artwork, along with a silent auction and a live auction conducted by Jamie Niven of Sotheby’s.
Horses and riders in the ring aren't the only competitors on closing day of the Hampton Classic. Every year, innovative decorators play off equestrian themes, beach topics, end-of-summer flowers, business logos, bright bursts of color, to create table settings for their guests in the ringside VIP tent. The Editor in Chief of HC&G (Hamptons Cottages & Gardens), Kendell Cronstrom, selects the winning tables each year. Choosing among the myriad creations isn't easy but here is the outcome this year.
On April 26, HC&G toasted the upcoming summer season by hosting an afternoon event at the spectacular Linden Estate by James Michael Howard in Water Mill. Design-world guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while learning how to enter the HC&G Innovation in Design Awards, which will be held on August 7.
