For Immediate Release

CTC&G (Connecticut Cottages & Gardens) announces Barbara Sallick Co-Founder and Senior Vice President of Design of Waterworks will receive the 2015 Innovator award at its 9th annual CTC&G Innovation in Design Awards on May 19th at the Greenwich County Club in Greenwich CT. The CTC&G Innovation in Design Awards celebrates and honors top design in the following categories: Architecture, Interior Design, Kitchen Design, Bath Design, Landscape Design, and Product Design.

“Barbara Sallick’s passion for great design in the bath and kitchen has created a new dialog for those spaces” said Editorial Director, D.J. Carey.

Mrs. Sallick co-founded Waterworks in 1978 with her husband Robert, and serves as the company’s Senior Vice President of design. Using her education and lifelong interests in art and travel, Barbara employs formal principles of architecture and decoration to elevate the bath to a space that is as beautiful, personal and inviting as it is practical. Acting as a company spokesperson, Barbara presents design and product lectures across the United States. In addition to writing a weekly blog, The Perfect Bath, Barbara is the author of two books: The Definitive Guide to Designing the Perfect Bath and Waterworks: Inventing Bath Style.

“To be acknowledged as an Innovator for doing what you love is very special,” said Barbara Sallick, Co-Founder of Waterworks. “When we started reinventing bath design 37 years ago, I did not think of myself as a reformer. Yet now, I feel very lucky to still be part of the evolution of the bath and kitchen. Every day I get to explore the creative process and meet with designers, architects, contractors and homeowners who appreciate and celebrate the results of that effort. This recognition by CTC&G is very meaningful”

CTC&G also announces that Anthony Baratta of Anthony Baratta, LLC, Thomas Balsley lead designer of Thomas Balsley Architects, Matthew Patrick Smyth of Matthew Patrick Smyth Inc, Karen Stonely, Founding Partner of SPAN Architecture, and Scott Sanders of Scott Sanders LLC will serve as the panel of key influencers to judge each submission.
