Unless you’ve been living under a rock this past year or seriously avoiding pop culture, it’s unlikely you haven’t heard of the Barbie movie. The pink-tastic film directed by Greta Gerwig and starring Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken will be out in theaters on July 21. In celebration of this much-anticipated release, Barbie’s Malibu DreamHouse is back on AirBnB this month by popular demand. This time, the toy-inspired utopia will open its doors for two epic stays with Ken as host.
Though Barbie’s pink flair is intact, the Malibu getaway right on the beach has been renovated by Ken to nod to his interests and favorite activities. Ken’s love of rollerblading and costumes, including a fun cowboy aesthetic, is reflected in the recent changes.
The exuberant oceanfront mansion offers just one bedroom suite, now playfully dubbed the “Kendom Salon” and outfitted with whimsical Western decor right alongside pops of pink. But, there are many more spots to bask in. Imagine rollerskating across the outdoor disco dance floor, surfing for hours, or lounging by the pool with a frozen cocktail in hand. Who wouldn’t love to spend a California day with this kind of Kenergy?
And, as if the once-in-a-lifetime experience couldn’t get better, it will be provided to the lucky participants completely free. Booking requests begin on July 17 at 10:00 AM PT. The stays will accommodate two groups of two people maximum and take place on July 21 (movie premiere day) and July 22.
Ken is taking over as host, but don’t forget whose DreamHouse this really is. As the movie’s tagline quips, “She’s everything. He’s just Ken.”
