We were thrilled when we had the opportunity to attend Benjamin Moore's Color of the Year, a mesmerizing event at the Skylight Modern for the unveiling of 2020's color.

After some champagne and noshing on hors d'oeuvres, the show began as a futuristic voice showcased different mini rooms with various home scenarios. Everyone's eyes followed each illuminated box as we watched flashes of cool blues, muted greens, and a welcoming yellow in the mix.

We were all buzzing about what the color might me and let out a gasp of excitement when we saw the soft pink Fresh Light 2102-70, grace the screen, along with the mantra: "the backdrop for a bright new decade." An optimistic take on the future, Benjamin Moore painted 2020 with a rosy pink. La vie en rose!

According to Benjamin Moore,"First Light 2102-70 represents a new dawn of idealism, design and living – a shift in mindset from the material to satisfying the core needs in life: community, comfort, security, self-expression, authenticity and ultimately, optimism."
