Bradley Cooper’s Venice, CA Oasis Overflowing with Greenery Is Up for Sale

While in some cases, celebrities hang onto homes for fleeting months or just a few years, there are properties that sit cozily in their portfolios for decades. Already this year, A-listers like Cher and Jim Carrey listed residences they’ve long cherished and now Bradley Cooper is joining them. The nine-time Oscar-nominated actor/filmmaker just listed an ultra-private, ultra-cool home in Venice, California that he has owned since 2004.

Cooper purchased the tranquil L.A. hideaway for $1.199 million and is hoping to part ways with it for $2.4 million. It was his first Venice house and the movie star truly made it his own, bringing in renowned designer Santillana de Chanaleilles to revamp the interiors. From this collaboration, a natural yet polished California look weaves through the 1,571-square-foot pad. The mix of materials, such as reclaimed wood ceilings and concrete floors, creates warmth while bolstering an urban edge that fits the seller’s suave vibe.

Of course, the design wouldn’t be as beguiling without the swath of glass doors that open to the greener-than-green outdoor areas. Stepping out to the ivy-clad grounds, it’s like entering a secret garden.

According to a rep from Compass, the actor “used it as a vacation home and to host friends.” With just two bedrooms and comfortable, easy living spaces inside and out, it’s no wonder he could happily unwind here for years and not get bored. As well as offering a main house, there’s a detached structure ideal to use as a gym, office, or creative workshop. And, who could forget about the property’s hot tub, fire pit, and built-in barbecue?
