Brooklyn’s 1 River Park Rooftop Launch Celebrates New Development Luxury Listings
Leaving Grand Central and heading off into my Uber with the address for 1 River Park set, I stared out the window with thoughts of what my first experience in this hip neighborhood would really be like. Never having gone to Brooklyn myself, accepting the pleasure to attend a rooftop launch for a new luxury development in the area, had me curious for what was in store. As I neared my destination, I glided past streets filled with lively restaurants and shops, even catching myself gawking over places I’d eventually want to check out with my friends.
Finally, coming to a final stop at Cobble Hill and stepping out of the car, I was shocked to see this soon-to-be architecturally suave glass tower before me. At first glance, I loved the eccentric wave-like design that instantly stood out in the exterior of the building. After looking like a tourist–all while looking up in awe at the 20-story development–I headed inside to be welcomed by smooth music performed by the Sterling Strings.
Before taking the elevator up to the roof, I did a walk through of one of the residence models, which was incredible! Decked out in an elegant modern aesthetic, the space was surprisingly very livable for a family or onlooking buyer. As for the whole building, it will be composed of studios to three-bedroom residences that begin on the ninth floor.
Most homes will be face west with floor-to-ceiling windows for maximum exposure to scenic views of Brooklyn’s skyline and the Hudson River. The boutique apartments are filled with state-of-the-art appliances and crafted by the talented hands of Bosch, Gaggenau, Perlick, Dornbracht, Kallista, Wetstyle, and Duravit.
After fully imagining my life in the model residence sipping on a glass of rosé around the granite kitchen island with friends, I completed the walk-through and headed up to the rooftop. I don’t think I could have arrived at a better time, because as the elevator opened, I was instantly mesmerized by the warm glow of the sun bathing the rooftop.
Following the jazzy tunes of the Hudson Horns, I made my way down to the lower level of the outdoor space and stared out over the edge. The views on the rooftop were beyond breathtaking. So, naturally I took out my phone, capturing the Instagram-worthy view of Brooklyn’s historical skyline.
The two hours I spent on the rooftop had been marvelous. As the sun set, string lights kept the evening going before it finally came to a close. I would say 1 River Park’s Rooftop Launch was the perfect way to celebrate my first time being in this historic (and ever-changing!) borough.
The building itself is a great way for potential tenants to buy into NYC luxury living. This development specifically will feature 17,000-square-feet of indoor-outdoor amenities including a double-height solarium lobby with 24-hour concierge service, and a Residents’ Club with an outdoor heated pool, amphitheater and grilling area, a meditation deck for yoga, and a fully-equipped fitness center.
