Sometimes all a home needs is a little TLC and sometimes it needs a complete overhaul. See how these 5 homes went from drab to fab with help from design professionals.
BEFORE: A dark and dated family room in a farmhouse in Hyde Park, NY.
AFTER: Using materials from the gutted farmhouse, Foz Design added exposed ceiling beams to keep the rustic feel of the home. Bright white walls lighten up the space.
BEFORE: A falling apart 1830’s farmhouse in Hyde Park, NY.
AFTER: Foz Design transformed the 1830s farmhouse into a modern escape. Without extending or remaking the home’s property’s original footprint, the house was stripped down to its framing and given a sleek upgrade. Windows are from Anderson Windows & Doors.
BEFORE: A dated East Hampton living room.
AFTER: Winter McDermott Design crafted a beautiful kitchen and living area out of the old living room space. Using the homeowner’s existing furniture, the kitchen was made to compliment the entertaining space and was freshly fitted with appliances from Pierch Soho.
BEFORE: A boring and all white bathroom located in Westport, CT.
AFTER: Completely renovated by Gara & Company, this bathroom was recreated for duel use as the main floor’s powder room and a semi-Jack and Jill bathroom for the guest bedroom. Akdo tiles on the floor complete the space.
BEFORE: A home in need of some love in Fairfield, CT.
AFTER: Browning Residential Design refaced and built up. They added a second level and attic to the home, created more interior space for the homeowners, and added new siding and Jeld-Wen windows. The addition of the front porch is a welcome addition to the home’s exterior.
