Carlos Santana Drops $20.5M on Dreamy Kauai Retreat
Guitar maestro Carlos Santana is putting down more roots in Hawaii, specifically, on beautiful Kauai. The Wall Street Journal reports that last year Santana spent $8 million on a different home on the island, but now he has turned his eyes to a new retreat. The music icon just dropped $20.5 million on this lavish Kauai abode. Originally asking almost $27.8 million, Santana nabbed it for a discount. Smooth, right?
Santana is planning to list his other Hawaii home soon, according to the WSJ. It makes sense as this new prize is certainly a keeper. Spread across three buildings on .81 acres, the 8,173-square-foot home’s interiors and grounds are equally enticing. It’s easy to picture the famous guitarist blissfully strumming melodies in the gardens or entertaining in the outdoor kitchen.
This central outdoor living area is a prime spot. Vast and sleek, it opens to the pool, spa, and patio while looking out to the mountains and bay beyond. With all the natural and manmade beauty the home provides, who would ever want to leave?
Sweetening life here further, the main suite sits in its own separate structure for unparalleled privacy. Spanning 1,275 square feet, it offers a bedroom, bathroom, study, and an outdoor shower and garden. The property then has three more bedrooms for visitors to enjoy.
Without question, the 10-time Grammy Award-winner has secured an enviable getaway, where he can recharge and hopefully create more beloved songs. Neal Norman and Ben Welborn of Hawaii Life Real Estate Brokers held the listing.
