CEO of Sweetgreen Nabs a Fresh and Pricey Beverly Hills Mansion

1/17Photographs courtesy of the Westside Estate AgencyIf Jonathan Neman, CEO and co-founder of popular salad fast-casual spot Sweetgreen, was looking for a mansion as lush and fresh as his company’s menu, he certainly succeeded in finding it. The King of Greens snagged this midcentury modern in Beverly Hills from another seasoned executive, Roger Birnbaum who used to be the CEO of MGM. First listed for a whopping $34 million last year, Variety reports that Neman and his wife shelled out $21.4 million to make it theirs.Built in 1958, the stunning 8,055-square-foot home shines with clean lines, an open floor plan, and tons of walls of glass. Natural light pours in through skylights, windows, and doors, but the new owner needn’t worry about nosy eyes peeking in, too, since it is tucked behind tall hedges and gates. The huge chef’s kitchen with double ovens and multiple sinks can definitely whip up more than a salad, but perhaps the CEO is so committed to his brand that he only eats Sweetgreen. Most likely, that kitchen will see many delicious dishes and the owners will have many beautiful spaces to pick from when it comes to dining. An expansive patio by the pool will be perfect for enjoying summer meals and stunning city views. With just four bedrooms, the home can’t host hoards of guests, but it is certainly enough to have friends and family over for visits.Stephen Shapiro of Westside Estate Agency had pricey listing and Ari Afshar of Compass represented the buyer.Photographs courtesy of the Westside Estate AgencyIf Jonathan Neman, CEO and co-founder of popular salad fast-casual spot Sweetgreen, was looking for a mansion as lush and fresh as his company’s menu, he certainly succeeded in finding it.
