With its stone base and shingled roof and façade, the house references the iconic shingle-style cottage. But farmhouse styling informs the center mass housing the front door, defined by shiplap siding and a steeply pitched gabled roof. And the nearly 6,800-square-foot interiors are thoroughly modern, with open-plan spaces and unfussy craftsmanship.

We love the cooking and dining space with its massive glass walls, opening onto an outdoor terrace, as well as a generous butler’s pantry and wet bar. The master suite is also appealing with its wood-burning fireplace and double balconies overlooking the pool.
