6/13The sculptural lines of the new Pedersen lounge chair for Bernhardt Design actually stopped me on my way to another appointment! The piece was inspired by an open seashell from Denmark’s coastline. Plus, it’s amazingly comfortable. –Catriona Branca, Executive Editor of CTC>he sculptural lines of the new Pedersen lounge chair for Bernhardt Design actually stopped me on my way to another appointment! 7/13Mary Fitzgerald, Senior Associate Editor of CTC&G and Catriona Branca, Executive Editor of CTC&G both enjoyed the Maru lighting from David Trubridge. Mary noted, “I loved the lighting fixtures by New Zealand–based David Trubridge. With a focus on environmentally responsible design, his creations are rooted in nature with organic shapes and raw materials. His latest collection was launched at ICFF with feature lights, table lamps and wall sconces. The Maru and Navicula fixtures were my favorite.”Catrionia stated, “Cast shadows, bright colors—Maru is magical. The newest elliptical lighting design by David Trubridge is crafted from 60 identical pieces. The name is found in New Zealand Maori and in Japanese languages and aptly references the circle of life.”Mary Fitzgerald, Senior Associate Editor of CTC&G and Catriona Branca, Executive Editor of CTC&G both enjoyed the Maru lighting from David Trubridge. 8/13Hush acoustic lighting (designed in collaboration with David Trubridge) was another innovative brand. The lighting is designed to reduce sound for just the right acoustics. Made from recycled water bottles, the felt-like material is available in oval, round or mini sizes in 12 colors. It is predominately used commercially, but I think it would be great in today’s open concept homes. –Mary Fitzgerald, Senior Associate Editor of CTC&GHush acoustic lighting (designed in collaboration with David Trubridge) was another innovative brand. 9/13Heated furniture by Galanter & Jones caught my eye. It’s such a great idea for cool summer nights and utilizing your outdoor space year-round! Designed and made in California, the studio was founded in 2012 by the brother/sister team of Aaron and Miranda Jones. “Smooth and warm like a rock set out in the sun,” is how the duo describes the molded chairs and benches. –Mary Fitzgerald, Senior Associate Editor of CTC&GHeated furniture by Galanter & Jones caught my eye. 11/13Wallpaper Projects, a boutique design studio specializing in custom-fit, high-end, featured a fun collection of self-adhesive and pasted wallpaper. For ICFF with Collective Concept, Wallpaper Projects worked with Farrah Sit and created wallpaper with fiery washes of golden hues that rise from the fully covered floors to surround suspended stone and neon lights. Silver Studies is a wallpaper collection from experimental chemical paintings on photographic paper. This unique creative process expands into environmental murals that are custom scaled for individual projects. –Serena Norr, Digital Content Director of C&G Media GroupWallpaper Projects, a boutique design studio specializing in custom-fit, high-end, featured a fun collection of self-adhesive and pasted wallpaper. 13/13A beautiful ode to craftsmanship and design, I loved viewing the collection of wooden toys from Wooden Story.
