David Spade Drops Almost $13.9M on a Lavish Modern Above Sunset Strip
It seems like the recent hosting gig on Bachelor in Paradise paid off for David Spade, or his decades of comedic gold and hilarious roles. According to the LA Times, the movie star just splashed out $13.85 million for a dramatic new construction in LA tucked privately behind gates. The comedian got a bit of a deal on it as well since it was last asking $15.45 million.
Sitting on a picturesque promontory above the Sunset Strip, it doesn’t get more Hollywood glam than this. Every inch of the 11,300-square-foot home has been thoughtfully designed and constructed, envisioned by architect George Kurczyn and crafted with all-natural and custom-made materials. Mixing warm wood elements with cold aspects like a glass staircase, it captures modern California style to a T. The open rooms also lead to impressive outdoor entertaining areas with views of the glistening lights beyond. Excluding all the historic estates in star-studded City of Angels, this is what people dream of when imagining living large today in LA.
While the six bedrooms and 11 bathrooms are certainly impressive, the spades of amenities take Spade’s new residence up a notch. The actor can host his A-list friends or fellow Bachelor in Paradise hosts at the marble bar, home theater, or by the infinity-edge pool and heated spa. A 1,200-bottle collector’s wine cellar ensures the libations never dry up.
Undoubtedly a lavish step up from Joe Dirt’s digs, Farrah Brittany and Mauricio Umansky of the Agency held the listing while Stuart Vetterick of Hilton & Hyland represented the buyer.
