The home’s entry boasts a Mark D. Sikes for Henredon side table, a stenciled zebra cowhide bench from Dovecote and a vintage statue from Swoon.
A Fine Paints of Europe high-gloss finish was chosen for the kitchen cabinetry, where pendants through Visual Comfort illuminate a Carrara-marble-topped island.
In the breakfast room, the dining table, chairs and console through Dovecote are complemented by a rug from Stark. Quince branches through Diane James Designs adorn a pair of ginger jars through Christopher Spitzmiller.
The home’s dining room, meant to evoke the glamour of old Hollywood, includes a 1930s French crystal beaded chandelier through Dovecote, a pair of custom Christopher Spitzmiller lamps, an antique Persian rug through Lillian August, Jasper Peony in Smoke wallpaper by Carlton V, Ltd., and a KD&J Botanica floral arrangement.
Sam Allen created a cozy library, using Loro Piana cashmere to cover a pair of armchairs, Phillip Jeffries grasscloth on the walls, and a sofa accented with vintage Suzani throw pillows.
For the Chinese-themed drawing room, a Hollyhock acrylic coffee table is set amid a Mary McDonald for Chaddock sofa, a pair of Victoria Hagan wingback chairs using a Cowtan & Tout Ikat, and chairs covered with Mark D. Sikes Ojai red stripe fabric.
During this project, Sam Allen was allowed to fully exercise his creative powers and adhere to his own philosophical directive.

An Oomph chest is paired with a rectangular mirror, both in Knockout Orange.
For the floor of the mudroom, Allen used an indoor/outdoor Stark rug. The bench pillows are upholstered in Katie Ridder fabric.
