Designer Yigal Azroüel Lists Contemporary Greenwich Village Loft for $5.9M
-
1/6Photographs Courtesy of Prime Manhattan ResidentialFamed clothing designer Yigal Azroüel created the ultimate dream space for his Greenwich Village loft, which is now on the market for 5.895 million. Since his purchase in 2015, the icon decided to part ways only after doing a complete gut-renovation of the 3,000-square-foot apartment.
Wanting to translate his experience of designing clothes into an architectural manner, Azroüel collaborated with artist Dror Benshetrit to translate his vision. The designer chose to view his space as a piece of art rather than just a home.
Across the loft’s two floors includes four bedrooms and three bathrooms, Azroüel and Benshetrit created what is now a minimal, uncluttered aesthetic. The 13-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows also helped in creating an airy open space for potential buyers. A combination of modern technology with traditional materials makes for a great balance within the apartment as well, featuring a custom floating reclaimed wood staircase, industrial-grade steel accents, marble countertops, and reclaimed wood floors throughout. For outdoor relaxation, the loft includes a 470-square-foot private deck.
The minimalistic abode also has prime location, being only one block away from Washington Square Park.
