Discover the Environmentally-Friendly Bedding Brand Flaneur
With Earth Day just around the corner, it is the perfect time to take a look at the products you use and how they are impacting the environment. At Flaneur, a premium bedding brand, they pride themselves on preserving our planet one bed at a time by being apart of the slow fashion movement, creating products that are made to last and be enjoyed for years as well as those that are committed to responsible sourcing, sustainability and ethical manufacturing.
As an independent, female owned, its founders and former Columbia University classmates, Lu Xiong and Tianjiao Saikhantal Yu, developed the company, focusing on color with a personalization component to create products unique from anything else on the market.
A focus on materials is just one of the ways Flaneur stays environmentally-friendly. Their bedding is made of Supima cotton as well as 100% biodegradable Lyocell thread, which makes for superior softness in addition to having minimal impact on the environment. Specializing in gorgeous and rich color, every bed sheet and duvet is pre-washed and died, using toxin-free dyes.
They recently launched the limited-edition Tricolor Tie-Dye Collection where each sheet, pillowcase and duvet cover has been painstakingly created in a highly artistic and labor intensive process of hand dipping, drying and washing by their Dye Master in their custom garment dye house in Los Angeles, resulting in a combination of artistry and the exuberance of color and movement for quite a luxurious bedding experience.
