Emily Blunt and John Krasinski's Ojai Getaway Sells at a Discount

The stately white clapboard facade. After more than a year on the market, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski's Ojai getaway has finally sold, although it was at a steep discount. The 5-acre spread first hit the market asking $4.25M, but was lowered to $2.75M when it failed to sell. Variety reports that the recorded sale price was $2.4M, well below the latest ask but still more than the $2.15M the couple paid for it in 2012.

Behind the stately white clapboard façade and inviting red door lies a grand entry hall, which leads into the formal living and dining rooms. The home’s 4,177 square feet also house a spacious family room, eat-in kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances, 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Rolling lawns, a pool and a firepit complete the country getaway.

This transaction is the latest in a series of sales Krasinski and Blunt have made of their homes in California since their move to leafy Park Slope. In July, the couple sold a three-story contemporary above the Sunset Strip for $6.5M and their home in Laurel Canyon sold for $3.505M in October.

The entry hall features a curving staircase. The contemporary dining room features oversized windows. The light-filled kitchen has been updated with top-of-the-line appliances. A white brick fireplace anchors the living room. French doors in the family room lead to the patio. A corner office space is filled with sunlight. The spacious master bedroom. A child's bedroom. The pool is seamlessly integrated into the landscape.
