Emma Stone Sells Her Circa-1920s Abode in La La Land for Over Asking

What could be more meta than buying a home in La La Land from actual La La Land star Emma Stone? Well, the new owner of a historic L.A. charmer just experienced exactly that.

Around the time the Golden Globes took place in January, Stone listed her whimsical Westwood dwelling for $3.995 million and it quickly went into contract. The transaction has now closed, revealing that the actress ultimately reeled in an impressive $4.3 million. Considering Stone purchased the 1920s haven for $2.3 million in 2019 and executed some renovations, it’s likely she’s banked a pleasing profit.

Private and gated, this Spanish-style pad spans 3,276 square feet and two structures. Vibrant hues and patterns fill the spaces, coaxing you to smile and mirror its cheerful vibe. White paint and a white kitchen balance out the playful touches, however, so it’s not a total homage to maximalism. The famous seller, who once even owned a home featured in NYC&G, definitely has an airy and colorful home aesthetic.

The main house offers three bedrooms while the guest house counts one, providing a nice amount of space and separation for visitors. A new owner may amuse themselves by guessing if Stone’s famous friends, such as Taylor Swift or Jennifer Lawrence, ever stopped by or stayed over. In star-studded La La Land, anything is possible.

Eric Lavey of Sotheby’s International Realty represented the seller. The lucky buyer’s identity is unknown.
