Erika Jayne and Tom Girardi’s Opulent Pasadena Mansion Gets a Price Cut

Amid their divorce and many lawsuits, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne and attorney Tom Girardi’s Pasadena mansion has been making headlines right alongside them. A symbol of the lavish lifestyle they lived, which Insider reports Tom Girardi is alleged to have helped support through embezzling settlement funds from clients, it first listed in May asking $13 million. Since then, the asking price has been chopped several times, with this latest reduction bringing it to $8.2 million.

If these price cuts seem extreme for just six months on the luxury LA market, that may be because the home is being sold as part of Tom Girardi’s bankruptcy proceedings, according to the NY Post. And as the ask lowers, the listing presents an opportunity for someone looking for a historic Pasadena property to pick the mansion up at a steep discount.

Designed by Myron Hubbard Hunt and constructed in 1928, the Spanish-style residence has an abundance of grandeur across its 10,277 square feet and four bedrooms. It boasts coffered ceilings, rich woodwork, and long hallways, plus a chapel with a Gothic-style ceiling. Outside, fountains, a pool, wisteria-covered pergolas, and a rose garden are all sited on almost two acres.

While the estate paints a rosy picture with its romantic style, the scandal that currently engulfs it is anything but and perhaps the listing’s toughest selling point. However, at almost 100 years old, this is one chapter of the estate’s history, which can continue to be written by a new owner.

Ted Clark and Heather Lillard of Compass have the high-profile listing.
