Fall Into Bed with Fig Linens and Home: Gaelle Dudley of GLDesign Creates a Coastal Bedding Ensemble

"I work with crisp neutral backdrops and go big with accent colors," says GLDesign founder Gaelle Dudley of her approach to decorating coastal-inspired homes in Fairfield County. "John Robshaw is my go-to bedding for many of my coastal designs," continues Gaelle. "His cultural journey in color continually inspires me."

Inspiration was not hard to come by for Gaelle as she was introduced to Robshaw's newest collection of colorful bedding carried by Fig Linens and Home in Westport.

When asked to design a bedding ensemble, it was a given that Gaelle would "go big with color" and she was immediately draws to Robshaw's Maneka collection in a shades of Lavender.

Gaelle used the John Robshaw Maneka Lavender Dip-Dyed Throw to cover a neutral linen headboard. Robshaw's Stitched Sheets bedding collection served as a subtle base upon which Gaelle placed a trio of Robshaw's Bita Shams.

Gaelle's decision to dress the bed with Robshaw's Stiched Sheets bedding collection is a decision echoed by Fig's Carlin Van Noppen. "Bedding lasts a long time, so my advice to most people is 'Go for it and get what you love!'" she says. "Definitely invest in amazing sheets."

Carlin's other piece of advise? "Add a coverlet at foot of the bed, plus one or two great decorative pillows, she says. "Keep it easy but make sure it provides perfect comfort!"
