The Famous ‘Golden Girls’ Home Lists For the First Time Ever

When walking up to this sandy pink LA ranch, you may expect to see Blanche, Rose, and Dorothy up to their antics. It is the famous home that was used as the exterior for Golden Girls, with the interior filming all taking place on sets. Though it isn’t in vibrant Miami where the show took place, it still has sunny weather and midcentury style to make any new owner feel like an honorary Golden Girl. Listed for the first time ever, the iconic Hollywood home wants $2.999 million.

The owners built the home in 1955 and have held onto it ever since, only lending its exterior for the gals to call home fictionally. Inspired by a Honolulu abode, they appropriately commissioned Hawaiian architects Johnson and Perkins to create the four-bedroom paradise.

Beautifully connected to the outdoors, they clearly harnessed the harmony of Hawaiian/Japanese design. It has floor-to-ceiling glass windows, vaulted ceilings, natural colors, and sliding shoji screens. Exotic landscaping and notes of minimalism throughout help transport all who visit down to the islands.

Since it is the home’s first time for sale, it could be called its golden listing. Certainly special, Rachelle Rosten of Douglas Elliman has the listing.
