Fashion Designer Jill Stuart Reels in $9.35M for Her Serene Hamptons Haven

Fashion designer Jill Stuart just sewed up a deal on the East End, parting ways with her manicured property. Located on Sagaponack’s lovely Parsonage Lane, the classic Hamptons estate listed last year for $10.99 million and has changed hands for $9.35 million.

The savvy seller is known for her keen eye, rising and rising since impressively selling her first jewelry and handbag collection to Bloomingdale’s at just 15 years old. In 1988, she opened a boutique on the Upper East Side, cementing her status as a New York City tastemaker. The launch of her eponymous clothing line followed soon after in 1993. From there, Stuart’s designs made their way into other prestigious department stores like Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman and gained popularity internationally, especially in Japan. Most recently in 2005, the designer dove into a new realm, creating Jill Stuart Beauty.

With such a busy career in the fast-paced worlds of fashion and beauty, it’s no wonder an uncluttered escape in the Hamptons appealed to the New York native. Its 5,000-square-foot floorplan boasts six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and one half-bath so numerous guests can stay with ease. Inside, white walls and dark hardwood floors flow throughout the bright spaces, providing great contrast and tranquility. Then the pool house, ripe for sublime summer living, holds a gym, laundry room, and full bathroom.

Of course, well-configured outdoor living spaces are a must-have out East. With the property spanning 1.6 acres, there is a swimming pool and hot tub, ample patio space with a fire pit and outdoor dining area, and room to add a tennis court.

The coveted location and enduring shingle architecture make this property unlikely to ever go out of style. Together, Sara Sandler (Goldfarb) and Tal Alexander from Official Partners and Kelly Killoren Bensimon of Douglas Elliman held the listing.
