Florence: A City for Art Lovers

The city that gave birth to the Renaissance still holds a powerful allure for anyone with an artistic eye. The streets are packed with people, and the restaurants are filled until the early morning hours. But it is the sculpture, paintings, frescoes, architecture and Florentine light that burn in my memory. This is definitely a city for lovers—especially lovers of art. The Medici’s huge investment in the artists of their day gave Florence a legacy that has lasted more than 500 years.
