The light-filled living room features a wood-burning fireplace.The well-appointed chef’s kitchen was one of the major selling points for this light-filled Park Avenue pre-war, so it’s only fitting that it has been picked up by Food Network star Ina Garten.  6sqft reports that the Barefoot Contessa paid $4.65 million for former Travel + Leisure and House & Garden editor-in-chief Nancy Novogrod’s Upper East Side apartment, which she listed for $4.75 million last year with Cornelia Zagat Eland and Mark Reynolds Blumenfeld of Stribling.

You’d expect nothing less than an impeccably decorated home from the former editor-in-chief of a design magazine, and this one does not disappoint.  Neutral furnishings contrast with the dark wood floors throughout and a welcome pop of color can be found on the dining room walls, which are painted a bright coral. Oversize windows and soaring ceilings make the two-bedroom, three-bathroom home airy and light-filled, while wood-burning fireplaces and a corner library give off a chic and cozy vibe. The aforementioned kitchen has been gorgeously renovated with the avid cook in mind, so Garten will have plenty of space to practice her craft, but should she need inspiration, her new apartment is located just steps from some of the Upper East Side's best restaurants.
