Gorgeous Malibu Home with Celebrity Buzz Hits the Market for $19M
Los Angeles, a city in which arguably the majority of celebrities live and work, is not the setting one might imagine for a celebrity vacation. The serene blues of beachy Malibu are understandably alluring to those who can afford to live on them, but not all celebrities are so fortunate to see such views every day. Musician Drake, for example, is famously a resident of Toronto. It is only natural, therefore, that he would want to stay at a spot in Malibu for a stint—and that same spot is now on the market for $18.995 million.
The home used to rent for $5,000/night and Drake took advantage of that for an on-tour vacation, according to E!. Reportedly, Rihanna stopped by, too, making these halls pretty much sacred to any mainstream music fans.
Perched on the dunes just above Zuma Beach, the 11,000-square-foot mansion has seven bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, and an A-list-level quantity of other amenities. Likely most alluring to celebrities, however, is the location—situated an hour or so outside of L.A. leaves them just beyond the reach of the paparazzi while still letting them slip off to work when necessary.
Listed with Angel Kou and Blair Chang of the Agency, the Douglas Burdge-designed residence boasts elegant architecture that shines inside and out. A slender pool gives the illusion of reaching all the way to the sea, with an expansive outdoor living space close by. A private resort-feel for personal, full-time enjoyment, this home offers a taste of paradise.
