Harry Connick Jr. Asks $7.5M for His Family Home in New Canaan

Harry Connick Jr.'s New Canaan home was formerly a working dairy farm.Harry Connick Jr. is selling the New Canaan, CT home where he and his wife, Jill, raised their daughters and have lived for nearly 20 years. The family bought the former dairy farm in 1998 for $1.54M and spent 2 years renovating it, repurposing many of the original materials including chestnut to make doors and countertops and granite that is now a fireplace surround. Their penchant for design and architecture is why they are selling the home now. “We wanted to try something new,” Connick told Mansion Global, but declined to comment on where that would be.

The 4.61-acre compound dates back to the 1890s and the 11,600-square-foot main house was once a dairy barn. Two other barns on the property have been converted into a gym and a songwriting workspace, respectively. Additionally, there is a heated swimming pool and a pool house.

April Kaynor and Kelly DeFrancesco of William Raveis have the listing.
