Hedge Fund Executive Relists Upper East Side Mansion for $37.5M

Clinton Group executive George E. Hall just relisted his Upper East Side manse for $37.5 million, the same price he first listed the spread for in September according to Mansion Global. Just down the street, billionaire Vincent Viola’s mega-townhouse recently went into contract for a record-breaking $80 million. Hall is most likely sticking firm to his price hoping his neighbor’s real estate success will rub off on his property.

The lavish, 25-foot wide mansion offers 12,000-square-feet spread out over six levels and 17 rooms. Built in the late 19th century by architect John H. Duncan, the neo-Federal style abode boasts an elevator and four fireplaces. Spaces like a wood-paneled library, music room, and powder room emphasize the six-bedroom structure’s historical charm. The townhouse's decor exudes elegance throughout the impressive home with gold details, carefully placed artwork, and a refined mix of prints.

Located at 6 East 69th Street, the sprawling house is close to world-renowned museums, favorite Madison Avenue shops, and, of course, Central Park. George Vanderploeg and Steffen Kral of Douglas Elliman have the listing on this coveted block that may soon be known as “Mansion Row.”
