Hedge Funder Nabs $40M Penthouse at Rafael Viñoly's 432 Park
A dazzling penthouse perched atop Rafael Viñoly's 432 Park—the tallest residential skyscraper in the Western Hemisphere—has sold for $37,745,776 after being listed for $44,750,000. The buyer appears to be Atlantic Investment Management founder, president and chief investment officer Alexander J. Roepers.
Roepers will access his new bachelor pad via a private elevator that opens into the corner great room. Oversized windows flood this area with light and provide breathtaking city views that continue into the eat-in kitchen, which features a center island, marble floors and countertops and top-of-the-line appliances. The master suite comes complete with 2 dressing rooms and en-suite master bathrooms and the other 3 bedrooms all have en-suite bathrooms as well.
Douglas Elliman’s Richard J. Steinberg, Sabrina Saltiel, J. Roger Erickson and Shari Scharfer-Rollins had the listing. The New York Post reported the sale.
