Inside Suzanne Somers' $14.5M Palm Springs Home

The main house is one of several villas on the grounds.Actress-entrepreneur Suzanne Somers and her husband, producer Alan Hamel, are offering the Palm Springs estate they’ve owned since 1977 for $14.5M, reports the LA Times. The resort-like spread encompasses 70 acres of mountainside land and is accessible by funicular railway, making it the ultimate private celebrity getaway. Multiple villas on the property contain a total of 8 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms including a master suite that features a sleeping chamber, an outdoor shower, a bathing room with a custom soaking tub and a balcony. According to the listing, held by Scott Lyle of Teles Properties, most of the materials used to build the estate came from the land itself, including the rock used to construct the Albert Frey-designed stacked-stone house. Countless more luxury amenities like a 2-room kitchen, 5,000-bottle wine cellar, outdoor amphitheater and multiple spas complete this unique retreat.

The estate is offered furnished with furniture collected from around the world. Oversized windows take in the mountain scenery. A chandelier lights the hallway to the master bedroom. A covered loggia leads out to one of the pools. A rock house designed by Albert Frey makes up one of several structures on the property. Al fresco living spaces take advantage of the gorgeous views. One of the pools is set in the mountains' rocky landscape.
