Issa Rae to Host South LA Airbnb Stay Over Super Bowl and Valentine’s Day Weekend

For fans of Insecure, which just released its fifth and final season, the ultimate LA experience is now available on Airbnb. Issa Rae—the hit show’s creator, star, writer, and producer—has partnered with Airbnb to host a South LA stay for Superbowl and Valentine’s Day weekend. With details like the cuisine and home décor chosen carefully by the acclaimed celebrity, it’s like stepping into the show for a brief two days.

Up to two guests can come for this one-of-a-kind visit, priced at $56/night and available only Feb 12-14. They’ll be greeted with a live, virtual check-in from Issa Rae herself before gasping at the panoramic LA views, diving into the pool, or sinking into the vibrant living spaces.

Put together by Rae to share the spirit of Insecure and her beloved neighborhood, every room has beautiful artwork by Black artists such as Maya Iman, Vakseen, and Domonique Brown. The home has a nook with Hilltop Coffee and guests will be treated to a catered Superbowl Sundy dinner from Worldwide Tacos. There’s even a curated guidebook outlining places to explore beyond the property, including some of the LA native’s favorite establishments like Eso Won Books, My 2 Cents, and Southern Girl Desserts.

Rae shared with Airbnb, “Since my series debuted in 2016, it’s been an honor to showcase the people, culture and businesses that make South LA such a vibrant part of the city. I became an Airbnb Host to create a stay where fans of the show can experience this for themselves. From dinner by Worldwide Tacos on game day, to art from my favorite local artists on the walls – this is LA, my way.”

Booking opens at 10am PST on February 8th for this South LA stay, which will take place at an exciting time for the city. As guests “wine down” after enjoying Rae’s recommendations, the Rams and Bengals will be prepping or playing close by at Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium.
