2014 Pink Aid Pink Chair {etc} Program

Talented designers created and donated pink items including chairs, poufs, dog beds, pillows and more for the 2014 Pink Aid Fashion Show & Luncheon. The items were auctioned off with all proceeds to support women in their fight against breast cancer.

A decade ago when a Cooper-Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum board member went shopping for a weekend getaway, adequate display space for her impressive art collection wasn’t uppermost in her mind. She had a New York apartment for that, so small and cozy was just fine. While the 1920s Colonial Revival she settled on may not have been her dream house (“It had no moldings, no charm, and I really didn’t love it,” she says), she purchased it anyway planning to give it some character and enjoy it as a retreat.

2014 Pink: A Passion for Pink Aid

Pink Aid and media sponsor CTC&G hosted the fourth annual Pink Passion Luncheon & Fashion Show at Mitchells of Westport. Guests enjoyed a fashion show featuring the Michael Kors’ spring 2015 line, pink-inspired cocktails, as well as silent and live auctions. CBS News and 60 Minutes correspondent Lara Logan gave an emotional speech about her own journey with breast cancer as well as many other stories from inspiring women.
