This circa-1941 residence was home to the Wizard of Oz legend from 1944 to 1948, and other big names followed in her footsteps. Vincent and Liza Minnelli and singer Sammy Davis Jr. have also lived at the property, with the latter expanding the home to its current 5,000-square-foot size in 1955. A new owner can feel in touch with each past resident, especially when wandering the grounds and pool house Davis designed or lounging in the “Judy Garland suite” that has been left untouched.

Brimming with alluring design history as well, the main house was created by famous architect John Woolf. As the man who essentially established the Hollywood Regency style, living here will really let a new owner imagine what it was like to be an Old World star. Hint, hidden doors are included.

On top of offering a pool, media room, five bedrooms, and glistening bright spaces for entertaining, the home has a lively location right above Sunset Strip. Alexandra Pfeifer of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties holds the rare listing.
