Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have quietly sold their Bel-Air mansion for $17.8 million. The famous couple bought the Mediterranean-style spread in 2013 for $11 million and immediately began renovating it.
The reality TV star seller was represented by reality TV star brokers Josh and Matt Altman of Douglas Elliman, who had the luxury listing. Josh commented to People that through the couple’s renovation, the six-bedroom, eight-bath abode has “been transformed into a very modern, minimalist style, but so beautiful.”
Since Kim and Kanye rarely do anything small scale, it’s not surprising that the sale of their lavish home is record-breaking. It now holds the title of the most expensive house ever sold in the exclusive gated community of Bel-Air Crest.
The stylish duo has moved on to greener pastures and now resides in the Hidden Hills mansion they purchased in 2014 for $20 million. With two pools, two spas, a sprawling vineyard, and close proximity to Grandma Jenner, the home is all-around a better fit their growing family.
Kardashian West explained the big move to People saying, “After you have a baby, you realize that you need so many other things and a different kind of space.”
The high-profile couple outgrew their glamorous Bel-Air estate and now someone new will enjoy its exquisite finishes. Ukrainian entrepreneur and philanthropist Marina Acton is the buyer.
