Karlie Kloss and Joshua Kushner Sell Fashionable NYC Duplex Penthouse for $22M
Supermodel Karlie Kloss and her husband Joshua Kushner, a billionaire venture capitalist who is also the brother of Ivanka Trump’s husband Jared Kushner, have strut away from this Nolita penthouse with a sale. After listing the Puck Building pad last fall for $23.5 million, the home when into contract in January and closed last month at a slight discount.
Kloss and Kushner ended up reeling in $22 million for the spread, which they acquired in 2018 f0r $18 million. However, they’re not saying goodbye to the address. It’s more like a “hello” to their new neighbors as the Wall Street Journal reports they purchased a larger penthouse in the same circa-1885 building last September.
Kushner Companies, which the sellers have no role in, bought the Puck Building in 1980 and more recently developed it into retail/office space with penthouses on top. Last seen asking $42.5 million, the couple’s new Puck Penthouse measures in at 7,241 square feet versus this one’s 5,672 square feet.
It must be pretty spectacular to let go of this stylish NYC sanctuary with interiors by For Reference. Airy, well-edited, and full of character, it boasts large walls perfect for displaying artwork and historic architectural details people crave. Barrel-vaulted brick ceilings are accented by original cast iron beams and columns. Newer materials feel like they effortlessly belong, including the Venatino Giola gray and Bardiglio white marble floor in the show-stopping entry.
Up the white oak staircase sits three of the home’s four bedrooms. The bedroom on the first level is still ripe for relaxation with noise-canceling doors separating it from the great room.
Nick Gavin of Compass, who held the high-profile listing, declined to comment.
