Katy Perry Sells Her Sophisticated Yet Whimsical Beverly Hills Estate
There’s no question buyers can be ‘Hot N Cold,’ but in this seller’s market, many luxury homes are selling like hotcakes. And, like other affluent figures, celebrities have seized the moment to part ways with their properties. Emma Stone, Trevor Noah, Mariano Rivera, and Nathan Lane are just a few big names who’ve made big sales across the country this year, and now, popstar Katy Perry joins the ever-growing list.
Putting her Beverly Hills estate on the market back in April, Perry wanted $19.475 million for it. In the end, it changed hands for $18 million, which the L.A. Times reports is the same price Perry paid for it in 2017.
While it’s difficult to know exactly which changes to credit Perry with, the decor shown in the listing photos rings true to her bold persona. From candy-filled music videos to exuberant stage performances, the artist hardly seems bashful when it comes to standing out. Stained glass, pop art-esque floral wallpaper, and splashes of color keep the vibe playful yet tailored throughout her now-former home.
Once past the gates and winding driveway, the residence offers five bedrooms, six bathrooms, and amenities such as pool, home gym, sauna, and cold plunge. While it may be tough to imagine prying oneself from such a dreamy Beverly Hills residence, Perry and her family (daughter Daisy Dove and husband Orlando Bloom) appear to be quite settled in a Montecito pad.
