Kelsey Grammer Finds a Buyer for His West Chelsea Condo
We first brought you the news that Kelsey Grammer, the actor best known for his starring role as Dr. Frasier Cane in Frasier and Cheers, was selling his condo at the glassy, Jean Nouvel-designed 100 Eleventh Avenue when he combined it with his neighbor’s to offer buyers one mega-apartment that spanned the entire 19th floor of the building. This tactic, apparently, failed to entice because Grammer ended up selling only his own condo, which just entered contract at $8.95M. The apartment originally asked $9.75M and listing broker Emily Beare of Core told Curbed that it is expected to close under $8M.
Though Grammer cited his reason for moving as needing more space for his growing family, the new buyers evidently think that 3,076 square feet is room enough and were probably impressed with the unit’s 100 feet of Hudson River frontage. Additionally, the apartment features a living room with a wet bar, an entertaining-ready dining room and a kitchen with restaurant grade appliances and a center island.
