Kid Rock Sells His Malibu Mansion at a Loss

The Bali-inspired villa has a pool and guest house. After 4 years on and off the market, Kid Rock’s Bali-inspired villa in Malibu has finally found a buyer. The bad news: the sale price is more than $2M less than the $11.6M the rockstar paid for the residence in 2006. He first tried to unload the estate in 2013 with an asking price of $13.45M and the price tag steadily declined from there, most recently listing for $10.995M. The closing price was $9.5M.

The home sits on a 1.5-acre lot in Point Dume behind gates at the end of a cul-de-sac. The interiors span 8,304 square feet and feature open concept living spaces on the entertaining floor as well as upper and lower levels that house the bedroom suites and a sprawling family room, respectively. Glass doors throughout the living spaces access the outdoor spaces, where there is a sunken courtyard with a pool, an outdoor shower and an outdoor lounge.
