Kirsten Dunst Finally Parts Ways with Her Cool SoHo Loft
-
1/7Photographs Courtesy of Douglas EllimanOver a year after first listing it for $5 million, Kirstin Dunst has finally found a buyer for her stunning SoHo spread. The actress may have parted ways with it for a reduced $4.425 million, but she still turned a profit since she snagged it for $3 million in 2007.The cozy two-bedroom loft offers one and a half baths and lots of charm, but seeing as Dunst just welcomed her first child with fiancé Jesse Plemons, the growing family might be in need of a New York pad with more space. While size could have been a determining factor, the ample privacy was surely a celebrity’s dream. Perched atop one of downtown’s most coveted loft buildings, the unit boasts city and East river views as well as sweet seclusion. A private elevator opens into the industrial-chic living room boasting exposed brick walls, 11-foot ceilings, and oversized arched windows. The eclectic yet sophisticated mix of vintage furnishings and built-in dark bookshelves give the residence tons of personality and highlight the history of the 1911-built unit. In the gourmet kitchen, blue cabinets add a pop of color while functionality reigns with Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances. Most likely, a new owner will redecorate to his or her own taste, but the way the current design mixes textures and colors is captivating. Douglas Elliman represented Dunst in the sale and Laura Weinkam of Corcoran represented the buyer.Photographs Courtesy of Douglas EllimanOver a year after first listing it for $5 million, Kirstin Dunst has finally found a buyer for her stunning SoHo spread.
