Legendary Comedy Actor Makes a Sweet Profit on SoHo Penthouse
-
1/12Photographs Courtesy of CompassComedy king Mike Myers has been on quite the real estate rollercoaster over the past year. First, he bought a Tribeca apartment for $14.65 million then sold it for $15 million a month later. Most recently, he set out to unload his SoHo penthouse listing it for $17 million and later dropping the price to $14 million after no bites. The stunning unit went into contract at that price in March and now The Real Deal reports that it has officially sold for a slightly less $13.95 million. While that may not be they price he was hoping for, this star can still say “yeah, baby” as he snagged it for a mere $8 million back in 2007.The light-filled, two-level stunner is open and airy yet modern and sleek. A wide fireplace and contemporary furnishings set the effortlessly stylish tone upon entrance and the living room’s floor-to-ceiling bookshelf adds unexpected charm. The fully outfitted kitchen, complete with an endless island counter, is nothing to laugh about, but rather is a foodie’s dream. With summer finally coming into view, the rooftop terrace will be a delightful space for the new owner to entertain. With a Compass team of president Leonard Steinberg and agents Hervé Senequier, Amy Mendizabal, and Calli Sarkesh on the case, it’s no wonder the deal closed quickly.Photographs Courtesy of CompassComedy king Mike Myers has been on quite the real estate rollercoaster over the past year.
