Elite Traveler just released their 2018 lists of the largest and most expensive hotel suites in the world. Here are some of the most lavish on the list, as well as other luxurious lodgings of note.

Hotel Martinez, Cannes

Best known for the film festival that draws droves of A-listers to the French Riviera every May, the city of Cannes is also known as one of the most decadent destinations year-round for rest and relaxation. The penthouse suite of the Hotel Martinez, a historic Art Deco hotel sitting a stone’s throw from the Boulevard de la Croisette, runs for $53,000 a night, earning its price with a 5,500-square-feet of indoor-outdoor space, wood-paneled terrace, sun lounges, and original Matisses and Picassos on the walls.

Ty Warner Mansion at Las Ventanas, Los Cabos

Famed architect Jorge Torres designed the Ty Warner Mansion for its titular billionaire as a private vacation home. Since absorbed by luxury hotel group Rosewood, it sits on resort property, offering all the opulent amenities while maintaining absolute privacy. For $35,000 a night, guests have full access to this two-bedroom beachfront beauty, with full access to the stocked tequila library, three private pools, and a remote-controlled fireworks display.

BVLGARI Villa at BVLGARI Resort, Dubai

Opened just last year, the Bulgari Resort Dubai is about as glamorous as one would expect a hotel run by a major luxury brand to be. The lusciously decorated property gives vacationers their choice of suites and villas, but one particular space draws the eye more than others. Nestled amongst a sea of palm trees on the resort’s property, the 5,800-square-foot BVLGARI villa offers three bedrooms and three bathrooms, as well as a home cinema, private pool, and uninterrupted views of the beach. This destination, perhaps the ultimate for fashion lovers, has a $34,000 a night price tag.

Prestige Riad at the Royal Mansour, Marrakech

Marrakech, known for its open-air markets and uniquely Euro-African ambience, has some exceptionally elegant hotels to match its mystique. Emulating Morrocco’s distinct Riad architecture, the villas at the Royal Mansour are private and palatial, with the Prestige Riad perhaps taking the cake. A vast 9,150-square-feet running just $7,500 a night, the villa has three bedrooms across two stories. Rather than serving as your run-of-the-mill hotel room, the space thoughtfully blends culture with comfort; a series of tea and sitting rooms downstairs and ensuite bathrooms with dressing rooms upstairs ensure you’ll feel right at home. 

Mahajara’s Pavilion at The Raj Palace, Jaipur

The decadently decorated Presidential Suite at the Raj Palace, alternately known as Mahajarah’s Pavillion, is a jaw-dropper. Accessed via a private entrance, the four-story flat has its own lobby, four bedrooms, elevator, bar, and rooftop terrace. Once belonging to the Majaraja of Amber, the space is indeed suited for royalty, with lavish furnishings and doting attendees throughout. Most fantastic of all, however, is the square footage, coming in at a whopping 16,000-square-feet.  With an average price of $19,200 per night, these digs are a steal.
