Matt Damon’s Contemporary Pacific Palisades Mansion Lists for $21M
Starring in high-tension action movies like the Bourne series and the Adjustment Bureau, and dramas like Good Will Hunting and The Martian, it’s no wonder Matt Damon likes to find a peaceful place to recharge. The actor’s zen Pacific Palisades mansion seems to have done the trick for quite a while now. Damon and his wife purchased the uber private home in 2012 and it has served as one of their family’s primary estates. But now, like many, they seem to be looking for a change of scenery. Their contemporary abode just listed for $21 million.
Not far from where BFF Ben Affleck was once spotted scoping out a home, Damon’s harmonious pad designed by Grant Kirkpatrick of KAA Design is surrounded by lush landscaping. While it sits on a modest .68-acre lot, the structure’s size is imposing with 13,508 square feet. However, the scale does nothing to prevent a warm welcome. A blend of open spaces, Asahi glass walls, wood details, and natural stone creates a relaxed atmosphere throughout.
Full of fun, the family of six must have enjoyed the specialty spaces around every corner. There’s much to make you smile, from the game room and media room inside to the backyard children’s play area, pool, spa, waterfall, koi pond, and Hawaiian-inspired lounge and terrace. Me-time isn’t forgotten either since there is a massage room and gym always at the ready.
Additionally, the home holds seven bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, plus staff quarters to keep this expansive mansion afloat. And when guests come over expecting an Academy Award-winning, A-list experience, the cool wine storage and tasting room might be the final detail that takes this home from “like” to “love.”
