DEBORAH BERKE, FAIA, LEED AP

Deborah Berke & Partners Architects
Deborah Berke, FAIA, LEED AP is the founding partner of Deborah Berke & Partners Architects. In addition, she is Professor (Adjunct) of Architectural Design at Yale University, a post she has held since 1987. Previously she taught at the University of Maryland, the Rhode Island School of Design, the University of Miami, and the Institute for Architecture and Urban Studies, of which she was a fellow.
Integral to her professional life, Deborah is deeply committed to public service. She continues in her role as a Founding Trustee of the Design Trust for Public Space in New York City. She is also a Trustee of the Forum for Urban Design and a Trustee, serving as Vice President, of desigNYC. Over the past two decades, Deborah has served as Chair of the Board of Advisors, Buell Center for the Study of American Architecture at Columbia University, Trustee of the Brearley School, Vice President of the AIA New York Chapter, and a Trustee of the National Building Museum. In addition, she serves as a juror in numerous architecture and design award programs and lectures throughout the US and Canada.
Founded in 1982, Deborah Berke & Partners Architects has won numerous design awards for architecture and interior design work and has been featured in publications as diverse as Architecture, Architectural Record, Newsweek, Elle Décor, Wallpaper, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and Vogue.
Deborah is the co-editor, with Steven Harris, of The Architecture of the Everyday, published by Princeton Architectural Press in 1997. In the fall of 2008, Yale University Press published a book focusing on the firm's work — the first book on a contemporary American architect to be published by this esteemed academic press. It is simply titled Deborah Berke.
Deborah is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design (BFA, 1975; Bachelor of Architecture, 1977), The City University of New York (Master of Urban Planning in Urban Design, 1984). In 2005 she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design.

Sherrill Canet Interiors
Sherrill Canet, principal designer of Sherrill Canet Interiors, is noted for her ability to create elegant, visually stimulating, and functional interiors. Incorporating her passion for antiques and mid-century designs into all of her projects, Sherrill creates gracious, comfortable, and unique settings. All of Sherrill’s projects include an eclectic mix of the old and new, giving her interiors a classic and timeless appeal. Her expert use of color, texture, and custom designed furniture keep her designs fresh and original.
Clients praise Sherrill for her personalized design abilities, “every project is a fresh pallet”, her knowledge of fine English and French antiques, and for her creative sensibility. Her designs start with the architecture and develop based on the clients’ interests and lifestyle. While offering a range of choices, the interiors are generally based on a clean, traditional style with distinctive objects and details.
Sherrill Canet Interiors consists of two fully staffed offices with complete design service capabilities, from initial concepts and working drawings to placement of final accessories. The firm has designed important residential projects across the country and internationally for high-profile clients in business, sports, and the arts. The firm’s projects range in scope from new construction projects with superior design and project management to major renovations and interior design and decoration.
Sherrill Canet Interiors is engaged in projects located in New York, Connecticut, Palm Beach, San Francisco, and the Hamptons. Sherrill has been featured on HGTV, and is regularly published nationally and internationally. The firm has participated in prestigious showhouses including Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club, Southampton, Cancer Research, and currently The Modern Life Concept House presented by Elle Décor.
Sherrill Canet Collection was introduced in 2006 in collaboration with Stark Carpet and Old World Weavers and consists of her own line of furniture, carpets, fabrics and wallcoverings. “A La Carte: The Elements of an Elegant Home” published in 2010 illustrates the depth and variety of projects completed over a 20 year career.
KERRY DELROSE
Interior Designer
Delrose Design Group
Acclaimed interior designer Kerry Delrose has been producing beautiful, innovative and stylish interiors for over 14 years. After a successful publishing career at Time-Warner, Delrose joined design giant Hinson and Company as Design Director. There, he created furnishings, fabrics and wall coverings, while expanding their showroom presence in design centers across the country. His work was featured in numerous publications.
In 2002, Kerry joined the firm Jones, Footer, Margeotes Partners; an east coast blue chip architecture and design firm, where he served as Design Director. In addition to multiple residential projects, Kerry was hired to design penthouses in the tallest residential building ever built in Sydney Australia. His work caught the eye of architects, designers and builders down under where it has been regularly featured.
Delrose formed the Delrose Design Group based in New York City. Focused on high-end residential projects and unique brand based opportunities the firm currently is working in California, Europe, and Dubai as well as multiple east coast projects.
His work is defined by clean, simple, modern lines and furnishings. Large-scale pieces, unusual objects and innovative applications are signature in his work. His use of natural, organic furnishings and materials make for very progressive design and have caught the eyes of hoteliers, celebrities, and designers alike.
Kerry’s work has been featured in Cottages & Gardens Publications, House & Garden, Elle Décor, Classic Home, House Beautiful and several coffee table books. He has been a contributor to many publications, as well as a speaker at various design events.
Kerry has participated in the Kips Bay Show house, The Hampton Designer Show house, The Idea House, and Esquire House among others.
David Kleinberg

David Kleinberg Design Associates
David Kleinberg is one of the most respected names in interior design. Over a thirty-year career, with projects reaching around the world, Kleinberg has created a body of work that is wide-ranging in style yet always modern in sensibility.
After graduating from Trinity College in 1976, Kleinberg explored the New York design world while working first at Denning & Fourcade and then at Mara Palmer. His talents were further honed during a sixteen-year tenure at the venerable Parish-Hadley Associates where he became Mrs. Parish’s right hand and was further mentored by Albert Hadley. Kleinberg left the firm in 1997 to start DAVID KLEINBERG DESIGN ASSOCIATES. Since then the firm has grown exponentially and employs 25, servicing a roster of international clients with residences spanning the globe.
In 2011 Kleinberg published TRADITIONAL NOW: INTERIORS BY DAVID KLEINBERG (Monacelli Press), a compendium of more than twenty residential interiors. In the same year he received the honor of being inducted into Interior Design magazine’s “Hall of Fame”. Kleinberg has been named to Architectural Digest magazine’s “The New AD 100”. He is part of Elle Décor magazine’s “A List”, which profiles 25 top designers. In addition, Kleinberg’s work appears regularly in every major design and lifestyle publication, including British House & Garden, House Beautiful, House & Garden, and Veranda.
Kleinberg has designed two rug collections for Patterson, Flynn & Martin that are available in decorative showrooms nationwide. His most recent collection, “Return To Tradition”, launched in the Fall of 2011.
“When looking back, our biggest compliment is the repeat business from our clients. We regularly complete several projects for each and in every case the clients are looking for something different. I strive to evolve and change direction, not to repeat,” says Kleinberg.

Scott Sanders LLC
Whether the project is new construction, a renovation, or simply adding new layers to an existing space, Scott Sanders’ passion for interior design can be found through every step of the design process. His love of color, line and classic proportions is seen in every space that he designs, but his ability to listen to the client’s needs and desires for the project, and tailor the environment so that it truly reflects them, is what his clients have come to rely on. The end results are spaces that are elegant but approachable, and completely unique to the homeowner.
Sanders’ founded his New York City and Hamptons based residential interior design firm, Scott Sanders LLC, in 2000. Central to his design philosophy is the fact that Sanders’ attends every meeting with the client and is ‘hands on’ in his involvement with all aspects project. This coupled with his staff’s attention to detail and careful organization of each project ensures that every installation is successful
Sanders’ remarkable portfolio includes homes in New York City, the Hamptons, New Jersey, Colorado, Florida, Arizona and the Caribbean. While his current project list includes many new clients, more than two thirds of his client base is made up of repeat customers who have come to trust his vision and allowing him a free hand with their initial inspiration.
In April 2010, Pointed Leaf Press published Picture Perfect: Designing the New American Family Home, an innovative book that documents Sanders’ inspired youth, his accomplished career, and a project that represents the culmination of a four year adventure in interior design and catalogs in detail the myriad of choices that transform an empty house into a wonderfully functional family home.
